CREATIVE COLLABORATION

Creative collaboration in Art and Photography

This term we have been excited with the launch of our new GCSE in Photography and have enjoyed an excellent up take for this new course. The pupils have been getting to grips with their cameras with some impressive results and an exhibition of their work will feature in our Pop Up Gallery  series in the Library after half term. This exhibition follows on from our highly successful display of Sixth Form photography.

All pupils have also taken part in The Big Draw Festival. The theme ‘Drawn To Life’ focused on the vital positive contribution creativity can make with regards to general health and wellbeing.  In response to this theme, pupils listened and watched different types of music and dancing before embarking on life drawing from these forms of inspiration. They used a range of media from graphite, charcoal, pens and paint. The pupils worked brilliantly alongside each other and it was fantastic for the pupils to be able to explore their creativity in such an expressive way and not least to hear their supportive and creative conservations as they worked.
