WHO WANTS TO BE A DJ?

Last term, pupils from Years 8-10 and Lower Sixth were treated to a fabulous roadshow given by the Future DJ company. Learning to operate the turntables is a musical skill which is now being honed in schools across Europe. This week, pupils at Warminster started having individual DJ Lessons with our own DJ Emma. We have our own turntables and sound system set-up in our practice room called 'Narnia' and lessons are offered as a part of our Instrumental Programme. The AQA exam board’s decision to recognise DJ decks as instruments is opening up a new future for music in schools. The Future DJ Company team use their backgrounds and experience in publishing, teaching, music and film to make sure our programme is available to everyone who wants it. So why not have a go?
