  • TEACHER OF KEY STAGE 2

    We are looking for an innovative, energetic and reflective Teacher of Key Stage 2 for September 2018. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner, have relevant teaching experience (either prep or primary), as well as energy, enthusiasm and drive. He/She will clearly demonstrate the ability to inspire and unlock the learning potential of every pupil. A willingness to participate in the wider education of pupils through co-curricular activities and boarding is essential.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a strong and energetic team within an innovative and ambitious 3-18 school. For the suitably qualified candidate, responsibility exists to coordinate science and/or design technology.

  • MUSIC ASSISTANT

    Warminster School is looking for a Music Assistant for the 2018-2019 academic year (Sept 2018 – July 2019) to work in both the Senior and Prep school. The position is salaried (£8,000) and includes accommodation for the whole year (including holidays) and meals throughout term-time. The role is flexible and can be tailored to the strengths and experience of the successful applicant. Duties will include administration work, assisting in classroom lessons, assisting the Director of Music in planning concerts, rehearsal and performance work, working with individual pupils who need additional support and also boarding duties. There are also opportunities to work with Music Technology in a number of guises. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, highly organised and will enjoy working with young musicians of all abilities. The ability to play the piano and another instrument to a high standard would be an obvious advantage, but is not essential and should not preclude non-pianists from applying.

    This position would suit a university student on a placement year or a recent Music graduate interested in gaining experience in the thriving music department of a leading independent boarding school. Previous Assistants have gone on to work at prestigious London musical establishments, including conservatoires and West End theatres, as well as in television production and the teaching profession.

    We are looking for an inspirational, energetic and enthusiastic peripatetic trumpet teacher to join our thriving Senior Music Department from April 2018. The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher both for beginners and those wishing to enter for Grade 8 and diploma examinations. Approx. 2.5 hours per week.
