GRADUATE MUSIC ASSISTANT
We are looking for a Graduate Music Assistant for the 2023-2024 academic year (September 2023 – July 2024) to work across the whole school (Reception to Upper Sixth).
The role is flexible and can be tailored to the strengths and experience of the successful applicant. Duties will include administration work, assisting in classroom music lessons, assisting the Director of Music in planning concerts, rehearsal and performance work, and working with individual pupils who need additional support. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, highly organised and will enjoy working with young musicians of all abilities.
The post also offers the opportunity to gain valuable pastoral experience whilst assisting in the running of a boarding house. This role will include some evening and weekend duties during term time.
This position would suit a student on a placement year, or a recent Music Graduate interested in gaining experience in a thriving music department of a leading independent boarding school. Previous assistants have gone on to work at prestigious London musical establishments, including conservatoires and West End theatres, as well as in television production and the teaching profession.
