Treasure Island

Treasure Island

The Drama Department are pleased to announce that the Lower School production this year will be Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. The story is about young Jim Hawkins who is left a treasure map by the dying buccaneer Billy Bones. He then sets sail on the Hispaniola in search of the island. Among the crew, the one-legged Long John Silver becomes his greatest friend, but Silver has a shocking secret in store and when they reach their destination Jim faces danger and adventure greater than he could ever have imagined.

This tale of money, murder and mutiny is a swash-buckling adventure of epic proportions. Rehearsals are now well under way and the department and pupils are thoroughly enjoying bringing this exhilarating story to life. The performances will take place on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 June at 7.30pm in the Athenaeum Centre, Warminster. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through the Athenaeum’s website www.theath.org.uk or by calling the Box Office on 01985 213891.

Following the success of last year’s production The Mouse and his Child, the Drama Department warmly invite you to join us for this thrilling escapade across the seven seas!
