At Warminster we are regularly updating our facilities to make sure our teaching and learning resources are the best of their kind. There have been a number of exciting new developments in recent years which have given pupils access to first-class facilities. Recently we have seen the completion of the Thomas Arnold Hall, a fantastic new multipurpose space.
We are also fortunate to have an area of the beautiful Longleat Estate woodland as our Forest School. This fantastic outdoor setting encourages teachers and pupils to embrace teaching and learning in a challenging, natural woodland environment.
The extensive playing fields provide five rugby pitches, six football pitches and six rounders pitches as well as a grass cricket square. An all weather playing surface provides hockey throughout the autumn and spring terms whilst the hard courts allows for netball and all year round tennis. There is also an artificial cricket pitch and a 400m grass athletics track at our Cold Harbour playing fields. For the summer months we have an outdoor swimming pool.
We have a computer suite, two art studios, muliti-media suite and a workshop equipped with high quality craft and design facilities.
The Wessex Science Centre contains beautifully designed, state-of-the-art, fully networked and excellently resourced laboratories. These laboratories have been individually designed to increase versatility and provide excellent and comfortable environments in which to learn and instruct.
The Thomas Arnold Hall is the prime venue for concerts, lectures and dinners. Boniface Hall and Boniface Recital Room are used for smaller-scale events, performance workshops and ‘Hear the Teacher’.
The Drama Department also has two studio spaces both equipped with lighting and sound. We are lucky to have both beautiful, historic buildings and contemporary spaces, creating a truly outstanding and inspiring atmosphere for learning.
