THE ISS PLAY THE GAME

International Students’ Society – International Games Exhibition
On Friday 24 February, the ISS hosted the first International Games Exhibition in the Library. It was an opportunity for the different nationalities and cultures at Warminster School to introduce different games played in their countries. There were 10 manned stands (China and Hong Kong, Spain, Russia, Malawi, UK, Germany, USA, Lithuania, South Korea and Moldova) complete with displays and instructions for their games. Visitors were then able to visit each country to find out more about the games played there and to ask questions about them.
The whole event was a great success and there was a wonderful atmosphere, even when the games were being played. It was a wonderful occasion for the international pupils to tell us more about their countries and cultures.
The ISS would like to thank Mrs Field and Mrs Kennett for the use of the library and being so accommodating. They would also like to thank all the pupils who were involved and who produced displays. The visitors were also able to vote on the best country, i.e. the country which gave them the best experience and the winner was the USA. Well done!
