Team-building with the Army
The Army Outreach team visited the School on a warm and sunny afternoon last week to spend some time working on team-building tasks with Year 9 pupils and our CCF contingent.
The emphasis was on good communication. Pupils were encouraged pupils to put forward their ideas and suggestions in a controlled and calm manner, even with time is ticking away alarmingly fast. The pupils realised that it is not always the ones who are the strongest or loudest who have the best ideas and that it is important to review success and failure in equal measure, learning from both.
It was wonderful to see the pupils getting stuck in with the tasks at hand and thinking creatively to achieve their goals. A great afternoon was had by all. Thank you to the Army for giving us their time.
