SWISS PARTNERSHIP
We are delighted to announce an exciting new Sixth Form partnership with the Swiss Education Group.
The Swiss Education Group has developed an IB schools partnership network in Business & Hospitality. There are many benefits for our IB/IBCP pupils, including access to an authentic career-related study course as part of their IBCP, hosted summer introduction courses and a two-week internship in a variety of hospitality and business management organisations in Switzerland.
The Swiss Education Group is the largest private hospitality educator in Switzerland, amassing over 30 years of experience in hotel management and culinary arts education, Swiss Education Group’s core educational values are based on the excellence of the Swiss hospitality tradition, focusing on the practical aspects of hotel management. The group has some of the best hospitality management and culinary arts schools in the world. Each school offers a different educational focus, but the same diverse international experience, rooted in the Swiss tradition of hospitality education. From lively towns in some of Switzerland’s top tourist destinations, to beautiful alpine settings and sparkling lakesides.
Gill Walmsley, Head of Sixth Form commented, “This partnership offers our pupils hands on experience of world class vocational areas. The Hospitality industry employs a tremendous number of individuals and the skills acquired on these courses are valuable assets in any career and can open many doors. What is particularly attractive about this partnership is that it offers experience from design and architecture, through to business planning, marketing, finance and then onto guest satisfaction and event management. The scope presented within it is limitless. Exciting times for Warminster Sixth Form pupils!”
Ulrika Björklund, HIM Academic Director commented “I am delighted that Hotel Institute Montreux is partnering with such a reputable institution as Warminster School. We share the same values of personalized care and academic excellence, a strong sense of community and an innovative approach to education. We are excited to welcome Warminster students to our school and look forward to supporting and guiding them throughout their hospitality and business studies.”
Tanja Florenthal, Academic Director, César Ritz Colleges Switzerland, also commented, “We look forward to welcoming Warminster students to César Ritz Colleges. We believe that this agreement will strengthen the student’s learning experience. At César Ritz Colleges, students will be able to discover hospitality through practical sessions and business classes. Students will learn about excellence in service and creating sustainable enterprises.”
One of our Old Verlucians, Saulius Leonavicius (OV12), and a graduate of the Swiss Hotel Management School, currently working in Dubai also commented “If I were to give advice to students considering their options, I would say this: hospitality is an amazing, diverse and dynamic industry. You truly get to learn things that would help you not only in a professional way but also personally. You get a chance to work anywhere in the world and meet different people. Warminster School and SHMS have incredible education programmes, facilities and an environment to achieve success.”
