SPORTS ROUNDUP
The latest Sports Roundup from Mr Lyons.
The sun has threatened to emerge on a few occasions this week as sport at school really kicks into gear!
We have enjoyed midweek fixtures with Prior Park, Chafyn Grove and Millfield this week for our younger pupils, whilst their more senior peers have been preparing for their first competitive outings of the season this weekend, with a rugby block against Wells Cathedral and hockey with Monkton Combe.
Saturday morning sees our Prep Rugby and Hockey Festival take place at the Senior School. Please do come along and take in what is always a wonderful fun atmosphere seeing such young pupils getting their first taste of team sports. For all those attending, please do take note that there is no parking on the Astro and pitches side of school – spectators are asked to please park on Byne Paddock (via Ash Walk) and head across Church Street to the festival.
Finally, I wanted to share again, the various sports clubs that are on offer this term. We have had some fantastic numbers at some clubs this week, but would always love to see as many pupils as are able take advantage of what is on offer.
Best wishes
David Lyons, Director of Sport
