SIXTH FORM FUN: WETSUITS AND WATERSLIDES!

SIXTH FORM FUN: WETSUITS AND WATERSLIDES!

What would normally be called the “bonding weekend” is now termed the “residential” weekend as our Y12’s have been Sixth Formers for almost a year now.

Being in the Sixth Form at Warminster normally brings with it great socials, trips to town, study periods and culminates with the summer ball, all the freedoms of being at the top of the school Sadly, due to covid most of this didn’t happen but Mrs Walmsley wasn’t going to let a global pandemic stop at least one event happening. So, with a slightly different programme we set off on Saturday to Corfe.

After assorted challenges in the forest we headed back to set up the bell tents, have dinner and some more activities. Although, before this, football with Mr Jacobs was very well received.

A wonderful sunset ended the day on a really high note.

Torrential wind and rain meant a lot of us hadn’t had the best sleep, but we were all ready at 7am for breakfast, packing up and then heading off to Dorset Adventure Park. I can honestly say that the lakes echoed with laughter, screams of excitement and fun. Teamwork and friendship are vital in an activity such as this and it was evident in spades. I think we can safely say that the Y12’s have bonded!
