When we launched our NHS Wedding Package competition we had absolutely no idea the response we would receive. We have literally been overwhelmed by the interest, the moving testimonials we have read and the very many worthy winners we could potentially have had. The decision has been so tough to make and all seven couples would make truly deserving winners; we are so proud of them all and their contribution they have made, and continue to make, as they carry out their valuable jobs amongst our community. We thank them all.
The competition was strong from the outset and interest across social media has been intense – we truly wish we could give away seven weddings! Our panel of judges decided on the final 3 couples, all strong contenders and the Headmaster had the unenviable job of picking our winning couple. Out of all our couples, there was one couple in particular whose story not only resonated with our Headmaster, but with literally thousands of our wider community.
We are delighted to announce that Maria and Jo are the winners of Warminster’s Wedding Competition. Warminster School is so excited to play a part in their special day and we can’t wait to start planning and ultimately making their dream wedding come true. Coming in a close 2nd and 3rd place was Korrianne and Sean and Sophie and Alistair.
Warminster School’s Headmaster, Matt Williams, commented “Our Events & Wedding Team have found this incredibly tough – it was always going to be difficult selecting an overall winner. Very many congratulations to our winning couple but commiserations also to our other 6 deserving couples – we invite them to get in touch with us as we are keen to help each of them, in any way we can, realise their perfect day”.
