REWRITING EXTINCTION
Come along and help us to “REWRITE EXTINCTION”.
A night of enjoyment and saving the planet – what's not to like?
Next month, we will be joined by the founder of Rewriting Extinction, Paul Goodenough at Warminster's first 'Green Tie Ball', taking place on the 19th March, in our Thomas Arnold Hall. Paul is an Emmy nominated writer, producer and creative director, working for companies like Warner Bros, Cartoon Network, Sky and BBC; with environmental organisations like Greenpeace, World Land Trust, Born Free and Global Wildlife Conservation.
Rewrite Extinction are a global collaboration of 300 artists, writers, scientists, experts, activists, comedians and more, all uniting to save as many species from extinction as humanly possible.
Just buying your ticket to our Gala Evening will have a huge impact, it works out as roughly 600m2 -650m2 of land purchased across Rewrite Extinction's new project, Somuncura Plateau in Argentina, and the Dracula Reserve in Ecuador.
“Your ticket directly protects over 600m2 of the world's most biodiverse areas”
Dust off your dancing shoes and black (or green) tie and come along and help us to “REWRITE EXTINCTION”.
Tickets cost £45 per head and includes bubbles, canapés, DJ, raffle, silent auction and a meat-free menu. Don't miss out on the green event of the year!
Nicola Rogers, Assistant Head Pupil Development comments; “As part of our Wednesday EDGE programme, we ask pupils to explore ways in which they can give something back. Those involved in our Warminster Green Team are doing just that – aiming to make Warminster School as sustainable as possible, reducing its carbon and water footprint through an array of initiatives. They are getting really stuck in to make a meaningful difference to our school, local community and natural environment. The pupils were really inspired by Paul at the lecture he gave recently at school and we are delighted to be welcoming him back for this exciting event. Book your tickets for this fantastic evening.”
