RESULTS DAY 2020 – GCSES
Following the difficult circumstances nationally surrounding examination results this year, we are delighted that our Year 11 pupils have been rewarded with accurate centre assessed results in all of their GCSEs. In what is a difficult time for everyone at the moment, pupils can be rest assured that the staff who know them well and have worked with them for two years were best placed to assess them.
All of our pupils can now move on to their chosen course of post-16 study having achieved these results.
Of particular note this year are local pupils: Max who achieved eight grades at grade 9 or 8; Harry who gained seven grade 9's; Megan who has achieved eight grades at grade 9 or 8; India as she gained seven grades at grade 9 or 8; Brahnan in gaining six grade 9's and a grade 8; Rudy who gained six grade 9's and two grade 8's and Naomi who was awarded five grade 9's and three grade 8's.
Headmaster, Matt Williams, commented “At such a difficult time for the education sector, with the constant moving of goalposts and political wrangling, it is wonderful to be able to put our pupils back at the centre of things. Our Year 11 have done extremely well and should be very proud of their achievements. After such a turbulent few months, they richly deserve the fabulous grades they have received. For many, these results will form a very solid platform for further study at Warminster, in either A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate; I can't wait to welcome them back and to congratulate them in person in the amazing new Townroe Lodge Sixth Form Centre.”
