REFLECTIONS FROM THE FOUNDRY
Providing inspiration, happiness and hope
During times of adversity and hardship, the strongest communities pull together and deeper bonds are forged despite the turbulence. The School site is quiet; its usual buzz and energy is sorely missed, yet, the warm and nurturing Warminster embrace is still palpable, and if anything, has become even more evident since the closure of the School was announced. The wonderful sense of community that exists in our school is not physical or geographic, it is not confined to the buildings or the grounds; it resides in the myriad of interactions that connect us. As Everett Dirksen said, “the real citadel of strength of any community lies in the hearts and minds and desires of its members”. Of course, we miss our pupils, but the ability to stay connected through our VLE and through social media means, we are still able to provide academic and pastoral support, share thoughts and ideas and celebrate their effort and achievements.
On a personal note, I want to focus on our pupils; seeing the fantastic work that you continue to produce, the respect and devotion you have for your teachers and tutors and the pride you have for your School has been tonic for the soul. Thank you for providing me with inspiration, happiness and hope!
Thinking of you all and looking forward to seeing you soon.
