Professor A C Grayling to visit Warminster

We are delighted to be welcoming Professor A C Grayling, Master of New College of the Humanities, to Warminster next month. He will be speaking to the Upper Sixth on Ethics versus Morality.

Formerly a lecturer at St Anne’s College, Oxford and a Professor at Birkbeck, London, Professor Grayling is one of Britain’s best-known philosophers and has published many books, including The Meaning of Things and his most recent book, The God Argument. Professor Grayling thinks that philosophy and ethics have to be about more than theory and technicalities, so not only does he deal with contemporary issues such as human rights and euthanasia, but also he returns to the classic Socratic question of “How should one live?”

Professor Grayling's lecture on Thursday 5th February is part of a series of talks given to the Sixth Form.
