PRIDE IN OUR COURTYARD CUBS

PRIDE IN OUR COURTYARD CUBS

As we welcome our entire school community back onto our glorious campus, the daffodils are nodding their approval and there is no doubt that spring is in the air.  However, like so many schools up and down the country, our site has been open to a number of staff and pupils and never more so than for our thriving Courtyard Nursery.

It has been a privilege to provide such essential assistance to so many families of full-time key workers whilst ensuring that their young children have been in receipt of the very best care and education over these past months. Spaces for new ‘Cubs’ are at a premium, as word of our revamped, extended provision has reached the ears of young families in and around Warminster. With a waiting list now in operation, spaces are available for 2 and 3 year olds from September 2021 and reservations are already being taken for 2022.  It’s not hard to see why!

With the freedom to roam over 60 acres of facilities, the opportunity to take part in specialist PE sessions and the joy of learning through play in our Forest School on the Longleat Estate – the welfare and happiness of our cubs is pivotal to the format and delivery of our care.  As Mrs Debbie Muir is proud to emphasise, “Each member of staff is willing to go that extra mile in everything that they do, to ensure the highest quality provision for our children. Best practice happens here, day in and day out, with our happy and confident children testament to this fact.”

From the wrap around flexible provision on offer 50 weeks of the year, even the busiest family schedule can be accommodated.  With just 24 hours notice required to book a late care session and additional ad-hoc sessions accommodated whenever possible, the Courtyard Cubs is proving a lifeline for so many working families. Delicious, healthy snacks and freshly cooked hot lunches are top of the popularity ratings – reasons to join us are endless.  “The Courtyard Nursery lays the foundation stones of early learning” smiles Mrs Muir, “we know that families are drawn to our exceptionally safe and secure environment, which above all promotes a love of learning both indoors and outdoors.”

Sitting at the heart of Warminster Prep, our young cubs already enjoy specialist teaching staff for a number of subject areas including Music and Art, with exciting plans afoot to further utilise access to Warminster School’s impressive curriculum. With so much activity we are mindful to take care of our parents too! We make it easy for parents to keep up to date with daily reminders, planning sheets and photos as well as weekly updates both on planned activities but crucially on their child’s development.  And when their time as a Cub draws to a close and the Reception years beckon, their transition across the courtyard couldn’t be easier; their journey within Warminster Prep continues seamlessly.
