PREP SCHOOL HOCKEY AND RUGBY FESTIVAL
On Saturday 16th September, Warminster hosted their annual U8 and U9 Prep School Hockey and Rugby Festival. This eagerly anticipated event was attended by nine local Prep Schools and many parents and supporters of the Schools.
Although the scores for this festival were not recorded, it was clear to see that each and every game was hotly contested, with some fabulous skills on show in both the Hockey and Rugby. Warminster staff refereed all the rugby matches, encouraging fast, free flowing matches. Helping out with the Hockey were several sixth form players who coached and cheered on all participants throughout the morning.
In the breaks between games, parents and spectators were able to sample the now legendary cup-cakes and snacks provided by the catering team. This year’s favourite seemed to be the quite exceptional Quorn curry and rice; the food was simply magnificent.
We were also grateful for the help and support of the Prefect team who assisted Mr Crinion and Mr Miller with the task of coordinating parking for the many spectators. I have received so many comments from parents and staff alike praising the helpfulness and friendliness of all those who helped on the day. Many thanks to you all on what was a wonderful morning of sport.
