OUR VERY OWN HEAD OF STRATTON TIES THE KNOT

It is with great pleasure that we are able to wish our love and congratulations to Warminster’s very own newly weds Jack and Barbara Berrisford (née Barbara Mitterrutzner).
The beautiful wedding of this special couple took place in October Half Term in the stunning South Tyrol mountain town of Brixen on the Austrian/Italian border. Mmes Rogers and Jukes from the Languages department and Mrs Daines from Stratton House were fortunate enough to share in Jack and Barbara’s special day – a day made all the more wonderful by the huge amount of love and warmth from such a diverse and culturally rich wedding party. The South Tyrolean traditions – seemingly a mix of the very best bits of Italian and German cultures – were simply captivating. Fine foods and great beers (including mountain venison hunted and prepared by Barbara’s father) were excellent accompaniments to supporting Jack in proving his worth as a husband: his carving of the speck appeared satisfactory to the untrained Warminster eye; however, it was his thigh slapping lederhosen dance which stole the show!
Following their return to Warminster, I would like to wish Mr and Mrs B all the best as they make Stratton their first home as a married couple. On behalf of all at Warminster I would also like to wish Mr and Mrs B a long and happy life together.
