The Chairman of Governors, Sir David Latham, announced to the Warminster community earlier this week that Mark Mortimer, the current Headmaster, will take up the Headship of Bryanston School next year.
The Chairman commented, "We have been extremely fortunate to have had the Mortimer family here at Warminster. Warminster was a good school when they arrived, with outstanding pastoral care, and a happy atmosphere. Mark sharpened its focus, instilled more energy and educational drive, and has given it real pride. He will leave behind him a school which has, I believe, lasting strength, with an outstanding staff and a clear sense of purpose. This will make the Governors’ task in finding the right replacement so much easier."
Governors hope to appoint a successor before the next half term.
The Mortimer family have contributed greatly to our community here at Warminster and we will be saddened to say goodbye. The School congratulates Mark and wish him every success in his new role.
Mark Mortimer succeeds Sarah Thomas as Head of Bryanston with effect from 1 September 2019.
