WARMINSTER GCSE RESULTS

WARMINSTER GCSE RESULTS

Year 11 pupils at Warminster School are celebrating today as they receive their GCSE results. The level of commitment to their studies, throughout what has been a difficult few years for pupils across the world, has been exemplary and today they have received grades to reflect their hard work.

Particular congratulations go to: Delilah Johns who has gained an outstanding nine grade 9s and a grade 8; Kelly Lin in achieving a superb eight grade 9s and two grade 8s; Morayo Akintonde for a great achievement with eight grade 9s and one grade 8; William Moxham achieving a magnificent seven grade 9s and three grade 8s; Madeleine Nickell for gaining four grade 9s and five grade 8s; William Childers who achieved two grade 9s and five grade 8s.

With 97% of our Year 11 pupils gaining five GCSE passes, including maths and English, we are delighted that the pupils can now move on to A Level, International Baccalaureate (IB) or vocational courses of their choice and for the vast majority, a very exciting time awaits them in the Sixth Form at Warminster School.

Deputy Head (Academic), Mark Sully, said "The Year 11 pupils should feel immensely proud of their achievements, especially in light of significant periods in lockdown and following online learning. The pupils have gained the rewards for taking advantage of the outstanding offering we provided during difficult periods of online learning and they have gained the rewards for their hard work and effort".

The Headmaster, Matt Williams also commented “I couldn't be prouder of the way our Year 11 pupils have battled over the last two years. They have been up against considerable disruption and yet, with the help and guidance of their tremendous teachers, have overcome it all to achieve the grades they richly deserve. They have shown great determination and commitment to their studies, and we can't wait to see them take the next step on their education pathway”.
