At the AGM earlier this week the WSPA said goodbye to outgoing Chairman Robin Stone and elected a new Chair, Debbie Kennett, to lead the Committee.

Robin was thanked for his time as Chair and his contribution to the Committee and Warminster School.

Debbie Kennett, a Warminster parent for eleven years and an enthusiastic member of the Committee said of her appointment:

“The WSPA Committee is actually just an extension of the School community. Everything we do, be it parent or staff member, is for the pupils of Warminster School. The Committee has grown immensely since I arrived here as a new parent. With that growth comes new faces, new ideas and a new strength. The WSPA has done some marvellous things to support our children and I am sure there is much more to come. Warminster is a vibrant community and one that every parent here enjoys being a part of.  I look forward to meeting and chatting with new and old parents over a coffee at home fixtures, and at future events.”

The Warminster School Parents' Association (WSPA) is a registered charity made up of volunteer parents and staff. The WSPA’s aim is to support and enhance the education of pupils by funding the purchase of extra amenities not covered by normal school budgets. It also aims to promote opportunities for staff, pupils, parents, Old Verlucians and friends of the School to meet at relaxed and friendly social events. The WSPA plans and organises events throughout the School year including a November Fireworks Party, Christmas Fayre, Christmas Dinner & Dance, Summer Ball, and Quiz Night.

If you would like to get involved or support, please contact Debbie Kennett.
