MUSIC SCHOLARS’ RECITAL

MUSIC SCHOLARS’ RECITAL

Mood lighting and pupils dressed in their finest evening wear set the scene for the inaugural Music Scholars' Recital evening. The setting and ambience certainly enabled the young performers to do their best, as many highly skilled and eloquent performances were given. From our eldest performer, Lewis Tomlinson and his vocal rendition of 'Now Sleeps the Crimson Petal',  to our youngest, Gabriel Travis and his skillful jazz piano interpretation of 'An Oscar for Oscar'  the varied music was of an incredibly high standard.

With delectable canapes and prosecco at the interval, the second half continued with more beautiful performances, notably Aylin Wutte playing 'Czardas'  for violin, Emma Asprays' vocal interpretation of 'Once upon a time'  and Maisie Foggs' lyrical 'Questa Notte'  by Einaudi for piano. This was a beautiful evening of quality and enjoyable performances. Many congratulations to all of our talented performers.
