MUNICH GATHERING

MUNICH GATHERING

To recognise the importance of the role that German families have played in the development of Warminster in the last 20 years, Graeme McQueen, Head of Development and Alumni and Rick Clarke, Deputy Head were delighted to host a parents drinks reception and an alumni dinner in Munich last weekend.

Both events were held in the highly regarded KÄFER restaurant and over 20 parents and OVs were present to celebrate school life, past and present.  Friday evening was a wonderful opportunity for new parents to meet existing parents. Fortuitously, the new Head Girl, Lucie Brinkers’, parents were able to attend so were on hand to answer any questions and share their experiences. Old Verlucians gathered on Saturday evening – Christian Mogele (OV07) flew in from London for the inaugural dinner and Maren Mende (OV06) drove straight from Croatia. It seems nowhere was too far to travel from to attend this event!

Graeme McQueen observed, “This was a long overdue event given the excellent contribution that German families have made to the School over the last few years. German pupils have brought much to the IB programme, boarding houses and sports teams in particular. This will definitely become a regular event in the calendar.”
