Welcome to Stratton House, the senior girls’ boarding house.
We house Warminster's senior girls, from Year 10 to Year 13. In Stratton we aim to create a stable and happy atmosphere where all our girls are encouraged to become self-confident, responsible young ladies. We provide pastoral support in all aspects of our girls’ life, whether that be academic assistance, encouraging participation within our wide-ranging co-curricular programme, or advice and guidance when dealing with any day-to-day challenges.
We have approximately 60 girls in the House, which includes a team of Prefects whose duty is to promote reliability and responsibility and to demonstrate the importance of teamwork. The Prefect team help with the organisation of social events and are a valuable asset to the smooth running of the House.
At various times throughout the year we have House activities: the annual Easter Egg Hunt, the Summer BBQ, DVD & pizza nights, as well as the ever-popular pancake evenings. Everyone looks forward to our Boarding Christmas Dinner when the Prefects award the hilarious and much coveted Paper Plate Awards.
Mrs Barbara Berrisford has been Stratton's Housemistress since January 2018. Barbara has been a central part of boarding life since joining Warminster, having previously worked as a Resident House Tutor and Assistant Housemistress. She is assisted by Miss Jessica Weeks (History teacher), Miss Adele Lavergne (French teacher) and Miss Louisa Bush (Graduate Sports Assistant) who support her in providing academic and pastoral support for the girls in the house.
Our Matron, Mrs Rachel Daines, looks after the administrative side of the house during the school day. She is much loved by the girls and there is virtually no question she can’t answer!
Stratton House is a home from home - we look forward to welcoming you to see for yourselves.
