INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY FESTIVAL

On Thursday 21st March, the WIC (Warminster International Community) hosted its annual festival in the Library.
The topic for this year was “traditional costumes around the world.” It was an opportunity for the different nationalities and cultures at Warminster School to talk about traditional costumes in their countries. There were 14 manned stands (China, Spain, Russia, Ghana, Moldova, Germany, Kenya, France, Thailand, Italy, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Mexico and Malawi) complete with informative and colourful displays. The library was busy during lunchtime with many visitors. The whole event was a great success and there was a wonderful atmosphere in the library. It was a wonderful occasion for the international pupils at the School to tell us more about their countries and cultures.
