IB PUPILS BECOME TEACHERS
On Thursday 13 October, four Warminster School International Baccalaureate pupils visited Bishopstrow College to teach a Theory of Knowledge lesson to their Pre-IB Programme pupils. Niklas Kraegel, Aylin Wutte, Rosa Velten and Ben Mrozek prepared and delivered the hour-long lesson themselves as part of their CAS project. The lesson explored some very abstract ideas, such as ‘What is knowledge?’, but in a way which was clear and accessible.
Accompanying the four IB pupils on the trip was Dr Matthew Harris, Warminster School’s IB Coordinator, who said, “I am proud of them putting together and delivering this lesson in a second language to younger pupils from around the world. It was a positive experience for all concerned.” Warminster School is grateful to Lorraine Atkins, Principal of Bishopstrow College, for allowing our pupils to visit and deliver a lesson and for the college’s kind hospitality to our pupils whilst they were there.
