HOCKEY TOUR 2018
Hockey Tour to Noordwijk (near The Hague), Netherlands
I am at last delighted to announce that Warminster School has organised a Hockey Tour for October half term 2018. Based on the previous tours in October 2014 and 2016, we have decided on a package that combines fixtures against local oppositions with a picturesque location in Noordwijk again, next to the sea and not far from many attractions and cities.
We will be travelling with Gulliver’s Sports Travel who also manage England Hockey’s travel and tour programmes.
The dates for this tour are: Leave: Sunday 21 October 2018, return: Saturday 27 October 2018 (First week of October half term).
Each team will have five sets of fixtures in the evening, with training sessions in the morning. We will then look to build in an activity programme, to possibly include Duinrell Theme Park, a windmill & cheese museum, beach activities (to include beach hockey), swimming, lasertag, bowling and possibly watching a local top class Dutch hockey match, Amsterdam HC. There will be a packed itinerary of training and activities.
We will be staying at Styayokay Hotel, Noordwijk. The accommodation is excellent and comes with a full board package. The hotel is big with more space to relax, and it is set in the dunes next to the beach allowing us to hold events on the beach – hockey, football, warm up, etc.
