HELPING WARMINSTER FOODBANK

Our wonderful Domestic Team raised £300 at their Christmas lunch by organising a fantastic raffle for staff. There were great prizes on offer for the lucky winners and money was also raised for a good cause, Warminster Foodbank.
Margaret MacDonald, Management Team Leader at Foodbank said “We are very grateful for the ongoing support of Warminster School. It is very much appreciated. It is donations like this and our fundraising, along with the food donations from our local communities which enables the Foodbank to continue providing this much needed service for families and individuals in crisis throughout our area.”
Warminster and District Foodbank is a Community Foodbank staffed entirely by volunteers providing emergency food and support to local individuals and families in crisis. On average with the support of local communities, Foodbank are able to distribute 25,000kg of food per annum to those in crisis. Foodbank helps to prevent family breakdown, housing loss, crime and mental health problems.
Anne Bainger, Domestic Bursar also commented “It is important to help local charities and families in need. We are happy to support Warminster Foodbank and help them continue their vital service for the community.”
Tracey Sheppard and Jaqueline Mills, organisers of the raffle presented a cheque to Margaret MacDonald.
