GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS

GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS

On Thursday 10th March, Year 3 and 4 performed a fantastic production of Goldilocks.  The script was based on Roald Dahl's humorous poem of Goldilocks and The Three Bears.

A very rebellious looking Goldilocks played by Niamh Crinion was put on trial in the dock for her crimes. The judge Aaron Hale presided, as the prosecution and defence argued their case, often in song to the jury. The pupil's performances were exceptional, especially singing often in parts, solos and in small ensembles. The Three Bears, played by Barnaby Craven-Smith, Sophie Heritage and Ella Morgan-Nash performed with great conviction, but unfortunately were not convincing enough as the jury voted that Goldilocks was not guilty! The Bears achieved their revenge however, when Baby Bear chased and ate Goldilocks to the laughter and applause of the audience.

David Edwards, Prep Headmaster commented, “Events and performances like this are a key part to developing soft skills that support so much more in later life. Parents were amazed at the confidence the children displayed with ease, despite performing to a hall of hundreds. We are thrilled to to offer these special moments and enjoy sharing them with parents and grandparents every term.”
