Grandparents play such an important role in the lives of their grandchildren and earlier this week we celebrated this unique relationship by inviting them to join us to experience life at Warminster Prep. We welcomed over 60 grandparents into our community and marked the occasion with a performance showcasing the extensive opportunities available to their talented grandchildren. Every child perfomed to an enamoured audience, riveted by the wide-ranging talents on display. From brass band to fencing, dance to choral singing – the pure enjoyment of the participating children was reflected in the pleasure that shone from their grandparents faces.
After a very popular lunch hosted by Prep Head, Phil Titley and our Year 6 Heads of School, the grandparents were proudly escorted around the Prep site by their grandchildren. This was certainly the highlight for many children.
It was wonderful that many stayed on into the afternoon and were seen and heard cheering enthusiastically from the sidelines of the Inter House Cross country. We look forward to welcoming everyone again next year.
