More Reasons to Celebrate at Warminster!
Pupils at Warminster excel once again with another superb haul of GCSE results.
Pupils have gained a 92% pass rate across all subjects, matching the best pass rate in the School’s esteemed history with one in three grades graded at 9-7. There were 100% pass rates achieved in Computer Science, Geography, Music, Photography, Physics and all four Modern Foreign languages, showing the great breadth of achievement across the School and further proof of the holistic education on offer.
Our staff are delighted for our pupils who will now move on to Sixth Form programmes of their choice, whether that be the International Baccalaureate, A Levels or vocational courses. Particular congratulations go to:
- Maddie Bradfield, amongst her results achieving four grade 9s and two grade 8s
- Julius Degen, gained five grade 9 and 8s in his haul of results after only studying the courses for one year and in a second language
- Alex Learoyd, achieving nine grades 9-7
- Sebastian Jarman, gaining eight grades 9-7
- Rosie Campbell-Barnard, attaining seven grades 9-7
- John Fell, Blaise McMillan, Evangeline Kjaer, Bronwen Rogers, Lily Carey-Say and Elizabeth Valentine, all gaining six grades 9-7
Headmaster, Matt Williams said, “I am hugely proud of this cohort of young people as they receive their GCSE results today. Arguably the most impacted by COVID, as they went into lockdown just six months into Year 7 – the foundation year of their secondary school career. The fact that they have done so well is testament to their resilience, drive, and commitment and the determination, skill, and care of their teachers. I look forward to welcoming many back into the Sixth Form in a couple of weeks, where I know they will continue to thrive.”
