FROM VERLUCIAN TO OLD VERLUCIAN

FROM VERLUCIAN TO OLD VERLUCIAN

Proud wearers of the OV tie

Some of you may not know that when our pupils leave the School they become part of the Old Verlucian fraternity.

We have an ever expanding group of alumni that come together for sporting events or for dinners and drinks. To date we have had drinks in Bath, London and Munich.

The OVs also give back to the School with careers advice or mentoring and for networking once university has finished. OVs are also always welcome to come back and speak to pupils or give a Thomas Arnold lecture. Recently, Sara Symington, Performance Director of England netball, delivered a TA Lecture, as you can imagine the netballers amongst our community were enthralled and inspired. One of the things that we are trying to achieve is an awareness amongst pupils that they are a Verlucian when they join the Warminster community and when they leave, they become an Old Verlucian with a large group of alumni to not only socialise with but to go to for help and advice.

Our network of OVs grows bigger and bigger with every month and we as a school are working hard to build an alumni community that is there to support your child long after they have left Warminster. If you would like to find out more or have any ideas or suggestions we would be really pleased to hear them.
