DAS SCHLIMMSTE HOTEL

Whilst our Year 9 pupils studying Spanish have been busy with their exchange visitors, all pupils in Years 7 to 10 who are learning German were fortunate enough to watch a production by the ‘Onatti Productions’. The Onatti actors are seasoned visitors here at Warminster School, always delivering innovative performances which engage their audience irrespective of their language ability.
On this occasion our pupils were treated to a dramatic piece entitled ‘The worst hotel’, Das schlimmste Hotel. It tells the story of a hotel that hasn’t seen any guests in a long time when finally a lone visitor arrives…the excitement turns as soon as Herr and Frau Schröder, our dispirited hoteliers, discover that he might be a gangster who has just escaped from the local prison! The production was funny and fast-paced and even our Year 7 pupils who haven’t learnt German for long were able to understand plenty of the onstage action.
The Onatti Productions complement language learning perfectly and it’s always clear that it’s a hugely popular event for our MFL pupils. Was für eine Show – auf baldige Zugabe!
