Last week, Year Six pupils marched over to the Senior School to solve a crime! They were welcomed by Dr Hankey and his highly efficient team, who set them on their way to solving the crime using chromatography; finger print analysis; fibre and hair analysis with microscopes; handwriting analysis; and the good old, tried and tested, “Wellington boot print” giveaway.
All the evidence led to a certain suspicious gentlemen named Mr Bonnell who beat a hasty retreat once he realised that his cover has been blown!
The children learned a great deal and really enjoyed the whole event. Many thanks must go to Dr Hankey, as well as lab technicians Helen Brown, Jenny Hancock and Gwen Wheatley for their meticulous organisation and for the way they made the children feel relaxed and welcome.
