CREATIVITY, COLLABORATION AND COMMUNICATION

CREATIVITY, COLLABORATION AND COMMUNICATION

Excitement is building for our forthcoming Summer Festival week, which presents a wonderful opportunity for the school community to come together and celebrate the arts. We are very fortunate to be able to do so and never has creativity, collaboration and communication been so important in the development of young people.

Craft-D offers an exciting way to open the festival on Tuesday 4th July. We hope budding rappers and spoken word artists amongst us will take to the Open Mic stage during the week to perform. Anyone choosing the Open Mic session is welcome to bring an instrument to play (solo or with a group), or perform a monologue, share a dance or anything (appropriate) like a bit of stand-up comedy – Brave is the word!

There will also be some shows on offer in the evenings and these are open to the wider community and parents and tickets are available via Trybooking.

Each evening, (4-6 July) you are warmly invited to join us for drinks and canapes in the Gallery at 6pm where the Imagine Exhibition will showcase the fabulous work of pupils in Years 5 – 9 and also the Art and Photography of  Year 10 and 12. Lord of the Flies, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, Pool No Water  and A Comedy Play will all follow this, starting in their respective venues at 7pm.

We hope you enjoy our inaugural Summer Festival!
