BIG TED’S DAY OUT AT WARMINSTER SCHOOL
Cakes are back with a vengeance! And boy were we inundated!
A Bake Off competition was hotly contested with the first prize being awarded to a splendid Teddy Bear Cake baked and decorated by year 7 pupil Tilly Reynolds.
Friday 18th October saw Big Ted’s Day out here at the School. The proceeds were going to Children’s Services at Bath RUH, a charity close to Mrs Cook’s heart. She has raised thousands for the cancer unit at RUH. Her fundraising skills were put into action with the raffle of the chocolate pumpkin!
The Prep School were involved – it was a whole school event and there was much excitement especially when Big Ted himself arrived.
We had set ourselves the challenge to raise £1000 by having a mufti day, cake sales and a raffle together with a visit from Big Ted himself! And we nailed it – £1167.41
Thanks to everyone for their support.
Next stop: Children in need Friday 15th November with our bric and brac stall.
