A new venue for Cabaret

A new venue for Cabaret

This year’s Cabaret was held for the first time in the Thomas Arnold Hall, and what a wonderful setting it proved to be. The new lighting system was a great enhancement, bathing the performers in all sorts of shades and hues. The table decorations and overall artwork was designed and implemented by Miss Abi Munson, our music gap student, who also ran the backstage dynamics alongside Ms Jacky Page.

Nearly 70 pupils took part in the various ensembles and groups; they are too numerous to mention by name, but all gave of their very best to appreciative audiences on both Friday and Saturday evening. The soloists showed what a wealth of talent abides in the school but for many the highlight was a spirited performance of songs from Les Miserables. The department owes a huge debt of gratitude to all the pupils and staff who played and sang as well as those who aided and abetted backstage and front of house.
