A LEVEL RESULTS 2024

ANOTHER RECORD-BREAKING YEAR AT WARMINSTER SCHOOL

Pupils at Warminster excel once again with our best results since 2015.

We’ve gone from 29% to 54% A*- B grades in just 5 years. Our average UCAS points score per pupil increased again to 128 which equates to ABB, with 97% of pupils applying to university gaining their first or insurance choice.

This year also sees an increase in degree apprenticeship success with Ella Grewal, Head girl 2023-24, now working towards her degree with Mark & Spencer and Anna Galpin considering options with DHL.

Staff are delighted for our pupils who have often gone over and above expectations in their performance in all subjects.

  • Jess Fortune gained A*A*A*C and is going to study Physiotherapy at Bournemouth University
  • Jamie Holmes has gained A* A* A  A and is planning to study Film Studies at Warwick University

Director of Sixth Form and Pathways, Gillian Walmsley said “I am delighted with this cohort’s results. They have all worked incredibly hard and have been suitably rewarded. I look forward to hearing about their future development.”

The Headmaster, Matt Williams commented, “At Warminster we talk about offering a holistic education. This starts with a rigorous academic core and this year’s pupils have demonstrated this in action, with some outstanding results. Our best pupils are also those who make the most of all of the opportunities on offer; strong academic outcomes and wide participation in co-curricular activities are not mutually exclusive concepts. Most of all, and crucially on a day focused on results, we hope we have gone further than tests, and have inspired a love of learning that will last these wonderful pupils a lifetime.”

Many congratulations and best of luck to our outgoing Year 13 cohort!
