This summer, the vibrant streets of Edinburgh became the backdrop for an incredible Fringe journey as we followed three talented Sixth Formers (Barnaby, Henry, and Sam (Three Witty Fools) unleashing their creativity at the world-renowned Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Celebrated as one of the greatest celebrations of arts and culture on the planet, the Fringe provided the perfect stage for our talented trio to showcase their unique flair and passion for performance.
In their usual style, Barnaby, Henry, and Sam brought their captivating show to life, drawing in audiences eager to experience the magic of youth artistry. The boys enjoyed an unforgettable experience in Edinburgh, celebrating creativity, camaraderie, and the joy of putting on their show at one of the biggest platforms in the arts world. The boys said, “As a group we are very grateful for the support given by the School, who made our trip to Edinburgh possible, and helped us in so many ways leading up to our performances”.
Henry continued, “Three Witty Fools along with family and friends assembled outside Surgeon’s Hall museums bright and early on 13th August ready for our technical rehearsal. Later that morning, we entered Theatre 3 for our first performance of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) in front of a sold-out audience. The audience included Warminster’s very own Mr Jacob, drama assistant Miss Baker, and former Music teacher Mr Page. The success of the first show continued throughout the week with four more sold out shows. We were honestly delighted with the reception of the performances with many rave reviews from the public, as well as two 5-star professional reviews”.
Mrs Rogers, Assistant Head (Co-Curricular), added “Sam, Henry and Barnaby – Wow! We are SO incredibly proud of you. I knew you would smash it – huge well done”.

Their portrayal of each character, regardless of gender or role, was not only humorous but also showed a deep understanding of the material they were parodying. The trio’s dynamic energy was infectious, keeping the audience captivated from start to finish”.
The Student agreed, “Hidden talent, such as these three, is the epitome of what the Fringe aims to showcase and is an absolute must for any Shakespeare fan. Watch closely for where these talented three end up in the future, for after a success like this, they ought to make the world their stage”.
