CROSS COUNTRY 2024

CROSS COUNTRY 2024

After last years’ absence, House Cross Country made a triumphant return this week, much to the delight of pupils and staff alike. The weather certainly played its part, with the sun almost making an appearance and little rain for once!

Pupils eagerly lined up at the starting line, their faces filled with determination and excitement. It was wonderful to see them running the course proudly sporting their House colours or CCF uniform as part of the £75 for 75 years campaign.

The sense of camaraderie and friendly competition was palpable as pupils cheered each other on, pushing themselves to give their very best effort. It was a true testament to the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork that is so ingrained in the fabric of our school community.

Dave Lyons, Director of Sport said, “Well done to all of the pupils who took part in yesterday’s House Cross Country – the short and long course both take on a really tough hill and some ‘proper cross country’ terrain. The weather was dry, the atmosphere was brilliant, and my legs are still hurting!  Congratulations to Finch who won the house competition and to Rosie C-B, Frida F and Ben W who all set new school records.”

We are incredibly proud of everyone for taking part in the House Cross Country event and commend them for their efforts and sportsmanship. What a way to end a fabulous Spring Term. Go team Warminster!
