Christmas Fayre
As part of the Warminster School Association's (WSA) fundraising events, parents, staff and students are able to enjoy a Christmas Fayre, which is held in the Sports Hall. The Fayre includes stalls offering perfect gifts for Christmas. A variety of unique purchases will be on offer, including jewellery, handbags, stained glass decorations, handmade cookies and fudge, handmade clocks, scented candles, calendars, cards, cooking utensils, hats, jewellery handmade in Ghana, children’s toy boxes, blankets, and not forgetting, the WARMINSTER SCHOOL TEDDIES (named Fudge or Toffee) with his own school logo on his blue jumper.
Whilst shopping, visitors are able to enjoy hot drinks, mince pies and enter a raffle, with prizes kindly donated by the stall holders. Profits from the fayre, and all WSA events, are used to provide additional amenities for the benefit of the school
The Christmas Fayre for 2012 will take place on Saturday, 1st December inside the Senior School Sports Hall between 10.00am - 2.00pm.
Firework Display
A firework display is held each year on the Friday closest to 05 November each year in Prep School grounds. The event is a highlight within the School calendar for all. There is a flood lit BBQ, with cakes, soup, sweets, hot and cold beverages, including a gluwein stall. In addition there are a range of entertainment stalls for all ages. The whole event culminates with a fantastic fireworks display. As access is restricted to pupils, families and friends of Warminster School it creates a safe and secure environment for children, enabling parents to enjoy themselves too.
The annual WSA Firework Display 2012 will take place on Friday, 9th November between 6.30pm - 8.30pm.
Entry: £3 per adult, £2 per child
Prep School Disco
The WSA raises funds by various methods. Family subscriptions form an important part of ensuring the constant life blood funds to purchase extra amenities. In addition, there are several other sources such as the funds generated by the School Second Hand Clothing Shop, the 200 Club and key annual WSA fundraising events, which take place throughout the School year. Each of these is detailed as follows:
Family Subscriptions
This is based on a £15.00 subscription fee per family, paid in three termly instalments through School bills. This is an optional fee, however, we are most fortunate that very few families have opted out of payment. To date the children from these families have not been excluded from using the extra amenities purchased by the WSA.
