Warminster welcomes Sixth Formers from over ten different countries into a community that celebrates its own diversity and encourages service to local, national and global communities. At Warminster, pupils will not only experience many new and exciting challenges but will also benefit from constant encouragement in an atmosphere alive with opportunity.

Sixth Formers at Warminster School choose between the traditional A Level route and the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) – details of these programmes can be found in this section of the website.

Whichever programme they choose to follow, with a talented and enthusiastic staff and a rich and diverse range of subjects and activities on offer, pupils are able to develop their potential to the full. We believe that Sixth Form education is the link between the earlier years of formal education and the adult world. With a positive attitude as Sixth Formers, our pupils are able to emerge as broadminded, well-qualified young adults welcomed by universities, colleges and employers. The Sixth Form at Warminster is seen by many parents as the ideal place for their son or daughter to spend the transitional years between the very structured GCSE courses and the freedoms of University life.

Warminster School is proud of the breadth of its programme and is pleased to cater for a range of different ability levels, but we are equally determined to ensure strong and rising examination performances for both our IB and A Level candidates. Our most recent set of results (Summer 2008) smashed the school record for university entry points per candidate with an average of well over 350 UCAS points per candidate – a rise of over 20% compared to last year.
