The Prep School Hall was alive with music and laughter last Friday as the Sixth Form produced their second annual charity show. Members of staff and pupils were provided with a true variety show which featured music, comedy and even juggling. The show was slickly compered by Head Girl Tzuki Stewart and Head boy Simon Bourne who also displayed their musical talents as part of the cast.

The show was opened by Megan Seaman who delivered a beguiling performance of “Fever” and she was followed by Frances James who, along with the jazz band, did a fine job of following the Headmaster’s memorable performance in “Cabaret” of two classic Stevie Wonder tracks. The talented Ben Ralph and Toby Gutmann then took the stage in a drum/guitar jamming session of such skill and volume that members of the audience were left in awe by the end.

Evenings like this are also about providing a stage for hidden talents and Fabian Michel and Elliot Gross royally entertained us with an amusing and highly skilled display of juggling, whilst George Cochrane displayed an ability to rap that got the audience fully involved. The evening ended with a hilarious boy-band impersonation. Behind the drag act and pantomime outfits the boys led by the Ryan Collin- Thomas Tom Newton and Chris Patterson really got the audience going with their comic and vocal talents.

It was a great evening and many thanks to School Prefects, Alex Blandford and Alice Charteris who organised this in liason with Mrs Nurdin. The most important achievement of the night was that a good sum of money was raised for charity.
