Haiti Fundraising: British Red Cross Appeal
The school's efforts to raise funds for the Haiti Appeal have proved very successful thus far, thanks to the input of staff, pupils and parents.
On Wednesday the students and all the staff of the school showed their solidarity by reducing the choice at lunchtime and, whilst in calorie terms the meal was designed to be as sustaining as our normal school lunches, the one-off reduction in choice enabled us collectively to save £350 which will be donated by the school to the Haiti Earthquake Appeal.
In addition, our Haiti Appeal shop in the Three Horseshoes Mall in Warminster town centre is doing great business: well over £1,000 has been raised already for the British Red Cross appeal, and donations keep arriving. Many thanks to all the staff and parents who have helped out for this good cause: much appreciated.
The owners have allowed us to have the shop throughout next week (free of charge) and if there is anybody out there (staff, pupil or parent) who might be able to give Anne Bainger a hand, then that would be most welcome. Any amount of time, however small, would be appreciated. Please telephone the main school telephone number if you are free to help.
Thank you all for your support for our efforts.
