On the 30th November a representative of the British Army will be giving a lecture to Sixth Form students, and those in years 10 and 11 undertaking Religious Studies.
The British Army Captain has served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, during his lecture he will be considering the positive and negative role that religion can have in conflict, whilst looking at its role as a cause of conflict, as well as its role as a source of personal support whilst on tour.
He will also be considering the role that religion has had in forming the basis of the core values of the British army, these being; integrity, physical and moral courage, discipline, respect for others, loyalty and selfless commitment.
The lecture will be taking place in St Boniface Hall on the 30th November.
