Pupils and staff alike very much enjoy working in a beautifully designed, state-of-the-art, fully networked and excellently resourced teaching facility. Accommodation on two floors includes eight spacious laboratories, one of which can also host large-scale demonstrations and lectures by internal and external speakers. Laboratories are individually designed, versatile and provide excellent and comfortable environments in which to learn and instruct. They are light and airy and contain abundant mains service points and storage facilities for apparatus and equipment, which is supplemented by resources held in Store Rooms and in the three Preparation Rooms. The latter store and prepare biological, chemical and physical material, accommodate a wealth of apparatus and equipment, contain freezer, cold storage and glass washing equipment as well as have provision for producing distilled and de-ionised water. A comprehensively equipped and up-to-date Resources Room with computer work stations and an Office add to the already impressive facilities provided to deliver the best in student education in the sciences. The Centre is also equipped to cater for pupils with limited hearing and mobility.
