Bad News started well on the first Map, ‘Fort’. The aim of the game was for one to team secure the fort whilst the others attacked it. The first round was won by Bad News, with them successfully managing to stop Optic Gunnerz from reaching the fort. The two teams then swapped positions, with Optic Gunnerz defending. Bad News also managed to win this; making the first score 2:0 to Bad News.
The next map was ‘Oil Drums’, with the objective being to reach (at the same time shooting the opponents) the opponents base, without getting shot! Optic Gunnerz managed to turn the tables on this one, securing their first win of the day. The teams again swapped ends, with Bad News starting near the oil drums, and Optic Gunnerz on the rocket launcher. Again Optic Gunners managed to win; though not with ease. Lewis Tarplee managed to hold Bad News’ base for a long time on his own before Mr Knight reached it. The final score after the fourth game of the day was two wins to each team.
The final map consisted of netting supports. The aim was to raise each team’s flag on the flag pole in the centre of the map. By this time, Optic Gunnerz had really got into the swing of things, and won both of these games, although not without hard work from Bad News. The final win was secured by Mr Knight, for Optic Gunnerz.
It was a brilliant day enjoyed by all!
