Warminster Senior School Sports Player Code of Conduct

Personal

1) Give 100% at training and matches

2) Support fellow squad members

3) Be respectful to opponents/umpires/coaches/teachers

4) Inform coach and captain of availability on a regular basis

5) Appropriate conduct and language on and off the court

6) Good sportsmanship

7) Abide by school and NGB rules

8) Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude but take responsibility for our mistakes. Seek appropriate personal feedback from coaches/staff

9) Support and respect Captain and Vice with duties

10) To not train or play under the influence of alcohol/drugs

Training

1) Commitment to regular training

2) Respect coaches – implement what has been discussed

3) Take responsibility for your own fitness – outside of training

4) Communicate effectively with players/coaches and managers

5) Open to try new ideas at training

6) Clear away equipment at the end of the session (teams to take it in turns and all players to be involved)

7) Respect fellow players when taking on umpiring commitments in training

8) Arrive 5 mins prior to training (Tape and strapping done) so are prepared

Ready to Play

1) Arrive at the stated time and place on the team sheet, and prior to Warm Up start time (Tape and strapping done)

2) Wear appropriate kit for training and matches

3) Active squad member – to take stats when on the bench

4) All players to assist with court/pitch set up / pack away
