Warminster School
regularly takes ski trips out to Europe and the most recent resorts have included, Saalbach, Austria, La Clusaz, France, Saas Fee, Switzerland and Les Deux Alpes France. 2012’s ski trip will be heading to the French resort of Alpe D’Huez and home of the 1968 Winter Olympics.
Groups are always divided in to ability bands so that maximum progress can be made and high quality individual attention can be given. It is compulsory for all students to wear helmets on our trips.
After a long days skiing, (6 x 5hrs), the pupils then get involved with a variety of evening activities which have included, swimming, ten pin bowling, sledging, karaoke, a trip around the town, quiz or simply relaxing around the hotel.
In recent years, Warminster Senior School Ski Trips have also included the option for its GCSE and A-Level PE students to undertake their practical ski criteria and exam. This has proved extremely popular with over 25 students taking up this option in the last three years.
